Whye Eow & Poi See

After a long break, we're finally back in action, doing what we love - photographing weddings. A big thank you goes out to Iq Lin who introduced us to Whye Eow & Poi See. We truly enjoyed their wedding; their guests were fun and outgoing, their families were friendly and we're glad to see so many familiar faces at their wedding too. Whye Eow & Poi See began their day with the usual morning preparation. Here are some of our favourite shots.

We just had to take the opportunity to pose and photography them at Whye Eow's lovely garden.

I simply love this shot. We could see the joy at their faces as they walk through the human arch

I am usually not a fan of 'spot colours', but I couldn't help but to do it for this shot. It just works perfectly.

The MC was trying to make the cork popping task a little more exciting.

POP!

Whye Eow & Poi See ended their celebration with a grand banquet at Traders Hotel. We would like to thank Whye Eow & Poi See for engaging us as their wedding photographer and congratulate them for a wonderful wedding.

NASAM Penang

The National Stroke Association of Malaysia or known as NASAM held their 10th Anniversary Fund Raising Dinner at E&O hotel and Whizarts was appointed to be their official photographer for their prestigious event. Their honoured guests includes Penang's governor, TYT Tun Dato' Seri Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas and YAB Toh Puan Datin Seri Hajjah Majimor Bt Shariff.

NASAM, founded by Janet Yeo is an non-profit organisation that provides rehabilitation support for stroke survivors and acts as a centre to promote stroke prevention to the public.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hong Ee, Chairman of NASAM Penang for giving us the opportunity to be there to witness and photograph a noble effort. Here are some of my favourite shots.

Charge Up! Photography Conference

I have just returned from a 3 day photography conference conducted by Louis Pang, one of Malaysia's top wedding photographer. This event was organised by LiveWire Media and it was held at Life College in PJ.

It was truly an inspirational experience, learning from one of the best photographers as he shares his life experience in his career as a professional wedding photographer. I can describe Louis as someone who is not only talented, but humble and possesses a very encouraging spirit. He is often seen smiling and talking to the audiences and there is no surprise seeing so many of his fans wanting to know him better (including myself).

The entire event was well organised and I am glad to have met a few extraordinary people within the organization. Their dedication towards the Lord has truly inspired me. Thanks guys for the great effort!

Thanks Mr. Hiew for emailing us this photo of us working together as a team. I am the guy with the blue shirt, at the left corner of the frame.

This is one of my shot during the photo shooting session after the class on Saturday evening. This HDR (High Dynamic Range) attempt was taken at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail park in PJ.

I just came across a participant's blog that contains some photos of their team during that conference and it is not bad at all! Kudos for a job well done.

"Casual Sunday" Family Portrait

We recently conducted a photo shoot for a fun and outgoing family a couple of weeks back in Penang. The theme for their session was "Casual Sunday" - nothing fancy, just plain and simple. What we first did was to let them have fun by doing whatever they want as we snap away candidly. Occasionally, we would ask them to strike a few pose for us; individually and in groups. A typical family photo shoot session usually lasts 3 - 4 hours.
