Natural disasters, recession, war, scandals, political instability – these are what we mostly read about in the news lately. 2009 seem to have gloom all over before it is even here.
As for us, 2009 will be a very special year to us. Alishia & I are tying the knot (yes, the wedding photographers are getting married) in April 2009 (and no, we’re not taking our wedding photos ourselves). Everyone has been asking me who I’ve engaged as our wedding photographer and the answer is Patrick Low of Exes Studio. We’ll be having our ceremony and reception at Saujana Subang by the poolside and we are hoping to keep our guests list to a low figure of 13-14 tables for the reception. We’d rather have a close and intimate wedding. As usual, my fiancee Alishia will be doing our invitations and favors while I sit around and say what’s nice and what’s not. 
We’ve also bought an apartment here in Tanjung Bungah, Penang and we’re hoping to move in by March or April 2009. We’re thinking of shifting our office there too and we’re currently renovating and furnishing our living room to make it comfortable for our clients and guests who will be visiting us. We’ll keep you guys posted with pictures once we’re almost done with it.
Business wise, Whizarts is growing stronger than ever and we intend to take it to greater heights. Response has never been greater and we are looking forward to photographing so many interesting weddings and couples in 2009.
2008 has been a very blessed year for us here in Whizarts and we hope and pray that 2009 will continue to be the same or better. Almost everyone is going through a hard time lately and 2009 seem to cast a darker shadow. Whenever something good or bad happens, we have to keep reminding ourselves that God is in control and He’s doing something greater for us – something so great that we can’t understand. We should usher in 2009 not with fear or gloom, but with faith and trust in God and know that everything is in good hands; His hands.
