Lilian & Weng Khiang – by Ke Wynn & Alishia

Lilian & Weng Khiang is truly a Whizarts customer. Apart from our photography services, Lilian & Weng Khiang also engaged us to customise their wedding invitation card.

Weng Khiang is one of the most coolest groom I’ve ever met. Almost everything was done at the very last minute, but he managed to pull it off perfectly! It was also my first time where I played two roles in a wedding: a photographer and a minor role as their “Tai Kam Cheah”. I was acting as their “officiant” during their veil removal ceremony while taking photos!

It was a great wedding at Ipoh and we would like to thank this lovely couple for hiring and trusting us to do what we do best. Reflections

I’ve decided to make an entry of my thoughts at this blog hoping that sometime in the future, as I look back at my past journals, I will remember what was going through my mind at this very moment. Something happened to me this evening and it made me reflect my life.

I started off like most other people, graduating with a degree at a young age and started looking for a job in a multinational company. I’ve worked in many companies in various industries, both local and foreign. For the whole 2 years, I couldn’t find the passion and stamina to stay on. Deep inside my heart, I always wanted to own a business but I didn’t know how to. I took a leap of faith, quit my job (risky thing to do) and hooked up with a few businessmen to start a business in Penang – everything started to change for me.

For the past 3 years, I admit that life has been rather difficult for me. I’ve made some erroneous decision that has set me financially backwards for 2 years, at least. Knowing that I am not getting any younger has placed even greater pressure on myself. Somehow, in all this chaos, God made a path for me. I met someone very special (I guess you know who) who shared the same passion and interest as I do – photography and business.

We started Whizarts together and it wasn’t an easy start up. Limited capital coupled with strong faith and passion made us push harder every month. For the first year, I only drew a salary that was sufficient to survive and occasionally, I couldn’t even afford to pay my bills. I couldn’t even afford to get a basic life insurance for myself (not to mention savings).

I am extremely grateful to all of my clients, family and friends for their support, and I thank God today that I am slowly witnessing miracles happening to us especially during the past few months. However, the journey for me has only started and it is still a long and winding one. There are still many issues I have to settle before I can live a comfortable life. All I can do now is to continue to place my faith in God, be extremely patient, and do my very best.

Here is a reminder to myself. No matter how big your business grow (if it happens), always be humble and continue to run your own race. Do NOT be envious of others’ success. Focus on your strength and remember to hold on to to the people you care and love most. Money isn’t everything. You’ve made it this far with very little of it. Most importantly, always place your faith in God.
